How This Started
A lot of full-time artists live with one income stream and a quiet fear that never goes away: what if it disappears? They don’t have safety nets, no backup plans, and are just hoping the rug doesn't get pulled out.
I know that fear firsthand. I had a moment where I thought I was about to lose my livelihood, with nothing to catch me.
That moment is why No Hungry Artists exists. I spent ten years building a career in e-commerce and conversion and I realized that knowledge belonged in the art community I love, not just in boardrooms. Artists deserve the tools to survive this economy, not just talent and hope.
My Background
Most people you'd ask for help are missing half the picture.
A business consultant can tell you about metrics but has never sat with an art piece they made and watched it not sell. An artist friend gets that feeling completely but has no idea why your shop isn't converting.
I've spent 10+ years in e-commerce, focused specifically on merchandising and conversion rate optimization (CRO), the "why don't people buy" problem. I've also spent most of my life making and selling my own art. I live in both worlds and want to offer this big-picture view to other artists who need it.
